Rare sunset light washed over a frozen landscape high in the Canadian Rockies. Biting, icy winds swept snow across the surface of the lake, creating these streak like patterns. Determined to capture this scenery, I stood my ground for nearly an hour, exposed on the frozen lake as snow blew relentlessly into my face. At one point during the shoot, the front of my lens became completely coated in snow. Despite constantly wiping it clean, the glass grew so saturated with ice crystals that keeping it clear became impossible. © Copyright by Abedin Abedin
