Misty morning
Some of the many small isolated islands that dot the Cowichan lake on Vancouver Island. The pink hue is a result of scattered sunlight from the morning fog coming off the lake. The reddish hue is very typical for misty mornings, especially in the morning when the Sun is low on the horizon. In that case the sunlight is being scattered forward from water droplets - a phenomenon known as Mie scattering.
